CIA agent Joe tries to balance her personal and professional life as the point man in the agency’s war on terror. Real-life military advisors helped create a more authentic execution of weapons handling, house-clearing, positioning, and squad-based activity, etc. Referenced in Soberano Awards (2024). I’m a fan of Yellowstone and most of Taylor Sheridan’s work. However, this is a step too far. Now, obviously things have to go wrong to advance the plot, but wow! This group of seemingly special agents are inept. They botch every operation they undertake. From the opening scene of letting the insurgents start attacking before they realize they might be bad guys to the ridiculous decision to use a miserable, obnoxious woman (the main character) to befriend a lively, party-loving target. I would happily agree if it weren’t for the fact that these things are supposed to be taken seriously. Others here have stated that the protagonist is portrayed as some sort of supergirl. And that’s right. She’s like a Terminator from the future! My main problem is that she’s really nasty.
