A family is invited to spend a whole weekend in a lonely house in the countryside, but as the weekend goes on, they realize that the family that invited them has a dark side. James McAvoy and Mackenzie Davis share what traits of their characters they find most intriguing and complement each other as they discuss their different approaches to the craft. The story is inspired by the experience of Christian Tadrup, the director of the original Danish film Speak No Evil (2022), who befriended a Dutch couple while on vacation in Tuscany with his wife. Although the Dutch were a little awkward in communication, both couples got along very well, and after returning home, Tafdrup received an invitation from a Dutch family to come to the Netherlands. He thought about it for a while, but decided that he would feel strange staying with people he didn’t really know; his story for the film arose when he gave free rein to his darkest fantasies about what might happen if he agreed (while maintaining that the original Dutch couple never caused any bad emotions). In this remake, the nationalities of the two families were changed to American and British.. In the bathroom, when he washes his eye, he has a subconjunctival hemorrhage in his left eye, in the next wall his eyes are completely clear.. Ben Dalton: Why are you doing this to us? Definitely worth watching in the cinema – it was so great to see this film! The slow opening is never boring, as it carefully hints that something deeply wrong is going on, although you can’t quite tell what it is yet. You, like the guests, want to love these characters, even though they seem more and more unpleasant and you dare not be rude. of the whole film. On the contrary, it makes it all the more creepy and disturbing. Without realizing it, you were on the edge of your seat the whole time, just waiting for the inevitable, but praying it wouldn’t happen. And then, when everything finally happens, the third act pays off big. McAvoy is insanely good in this film, and his range is what fuels the multiple emotions you experience while watching it. The film revolves around him, around his ability to hook both the characters and the audience, only to scare them to death. The season finale of What Are We Doing in the Shadows is one of the biggest premieres on television and streaming this month. Check out our October calendar to learn more!
