GoT is definitely worth watching in these seasons
Deep world-building, smart dialogue, epic sets worthy of Hollywood, professional acting, detailed plot, real surprises, great soundtrack, used wisely. Season 7: suddenly you notice that the quality of the writing and plot has dropped sharply. There are inexplicable ideas, contradictory characteristics and soap opera dramas. But, at least, the entertainment value is still very high, so it needs to be justified. Season 8: This dive will take you to depths you’ve never dreamed of.
We lost faith
The composition has become so amateurish that still fantastic production values are no longer enough to save it. If you’ve ever enjoyed “Staying Dead,” but were shocked by how bad the last season was, you’re in familiar territory. The biggest problem with the final season was that it took us away from history and made us think about the weaknesses of many. Fatal for fiction. It also spoiled the storylines of the series to such an extent that rewatching the entire series is pointless.
Can I recommend a GoT marathon to newbies?
Yes, the first 6 seasons are worth subsequent disappointments. But this is not the best series of all time. It could, but if it drops the ball in the last segment, it will fall behind the following excellent series, more worthy of a marathon: Star Cruiser “Galaxy” (2003-2008) “Twin Peaks” (all 3 seasons plus the movie) “Breaking Bad”
