Hugh Jackman said that he was indeed ready to play the character of Wolverine after Logan (2017)
Story
The Time Variance Authority offers Deadpool a place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but instead he recruits a variant of Wolverine to save his universe from extinction. He then said he regretted the statement after watching the first Deadpool movie and expressed to Ryan his interest in seeing the two characters meet on the big screen. When asked why he decided to return to this film, he simply said, “I just wanted to do it and I felt it in my gut,” adding that he wanted to spend the best possible time on the film’s locations. Similarly, Reynolds wanted to work alongside Jackman since the first Deadpool movie and was saddened when he (Jackman) withdrew from the role. We saw this at the midnight premiere in Imperial Copenhagen, it was a fun experience meeting people in the middle of the night for a new movie and gathering fans who enjoy this series as much as we do. The movie as a whole was very enjoyable, but it seemed like they just had to come up with something for the fun of it. Don’t get me wrong, Ryan Reynolds does a phenomenal job and some scenes are just hilarious.
But what do I know?
But it was missing something that I somehow can’t explain, it seemed like they could have come up with a better story. I say give it a go and at least you’ll end up laughing. "What We Do in the Shadows" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month. See more in our October calendar!
