Story
Men and women live in a giant silo underground with various rules they believe are meant to protect them from the toxic and ruined world above ground. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about. Season 1 covers the first 30 chapters of the book Wool – the book has 82 chapters. The fans on the floor spin in the wrong direction in various episodes, in terms of the orientation of the blades.
Something stood out from the start
Featured in WatchMojo: Top 10 TV Shows of 2023 You Must Watch (2023) I just started watching this show. The actors’ voices sound very clear. My compliments to the sound people, this is a small miracle. I very often have difficulty hearing what actors are saying in shows and movies.
It’s rare to hear actors’ voices with such glorious clarity
Maybe it has something to do with the acoustics of a silo? But I don’t think it’s due to the very good job of the sound engineers recording and editing the actors’ voices. It’s almost like hearing actors’ voices in the theater, it’s that good. I’ve seen several episodes now and I’m enjoying the acting and the story.
I really enjoyed it
There are good characters, portrayed well, and gradually something is revealed regarding the history and operational details of the silo. I’m not sure where this is all going yet, but it’s certainly hooking me. I’ve now finished the first season. There’s a significant element at the end that’s the same as a reveal in a movie.

To avoid spoilers, I won’t mention the name of the movie, but I’m sure others will know which one I mean if they’ve seen it. That hasn’t dampened my enjoyment of Silo, and I’m not sure who first came up with the idea, since I don’t know when the book Silo is based on was written. A new season of Silo is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
