Bailey is looking elsewhere for attention and adventure
Story
Bailey lives with his brother Hunter and father Bog, who is raising them alone in a squat in north Kent. God does not have much time to devote to them. Barry Keoghan dropped out of Gladiator 2 (2024) to star in this film instead.
The Bird is a 2024 coming-of-age drama about Bailey, a 12-year-old girl who lives in very poor conditions
around Kent and spends most of her time running into the city and recording on her phone events that mean something to her. However, her father Bug (Barry Keoghan) expects his daughter to be married to another woman, but after Bailey runs away, she meets a mysterious man named Bird (Franz Rogowski), who then turns to a powerful story about friendship and family . poverty.
But this film is definitely not for everyone, since its entire duration consists of exploring dangerous environments and the positive aspects surrounding them
Of course, this is a very well-made film, and it does not seem to have required a lot of budget, given the outstanding performances of the new generation of actors. I think he definitely did his job of delivering a thoughtful message with an outstanding performance that really makes an impact, and I can respect him for that. However, in my personal opinion, I really don’t like the characters, and I mean, yeah, they… #39;that’s true, but I literally see people like that every day, and I can’t condone the actions of most of the people in this movie.
But the acting is very good, my favorite character Byrd doesn’t have many lines, and there’s no need for that
Although some of the scenes with them are very funny, I can’t really relate to or accept what some of the characters do in this movie, and I also hated the character of Bog, a definitely annoying but realistic portrayal of men and fathers like him. Also, I certainly wouldn’t encourage small children to talk to a random stranger and follow him, but Bird is escapism for these children, and he’s not who you think he is. Overall, I would never watch it again, I’m 39; I don’t think this movie should be watched on the big screen, it’s better to watch it at home.
Byrd has a really decent performance, humor and great walls, but I didn’t like most of the characters, even Bailey was annoying, but I think that’s the point of showing that people like him are real and actually live like that, so I think it’s good
post, but don’t watch it in the cinema, I just don’t think it’s that interesting to be honest, and the viewing time could be adjusted, as I think it’s too long, but I wouldn’t recommend watching it in a hurry see it Rating: Blondon Film Festival, October 20.
