Story
In the 1980s, adult film star and rising actress Maxine Minx finally got her big break in Hollywood. But when a mysterious killer stalks Hollywood stars, a trail of blood threatens to reveal her sinister past. Maxine "Oui" the shirt is a reference to Oui, a men’s adult pornography magazine published in the United States that features explicit nude photos. The Bette Davis quote given at the beginning of the film was misquoted.

All in all, it was a good time
Just got back from a morning tour and wanted to share a few thoughts. Some of the tones felt more like drama than horror because there are no really tense or scary moments, but I understand that horror is not always interpreted that way. If you haven’t seen Pearl, you should… it’ll be fine. I feel like you would have to watch X before that to understand some of the stories and references.
Mia Goth is always worth seeing
I was very impressed with the style of the film, that the look and feel of the 80’s was perfectly captured. Ti West is good at this, as seen in his earlier work, especially The House of Devil. X remains my favorite of the trilogy, but if you’re a fan of the other two films, you’ll love this one. The soundtrack, costumes and performances were very well done.
